American (English) remake of the French series HPI (2021)
Synopsis
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how, with her unique mind, she is able to solve a crime by rearranging evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department. Despite having a very high IQ, an excellent memory, and an extensive knowledge of secrets, Morgan makes a number of basic legal mistakes that no one who has ever watched a law show on TV should make. For example, in the first episode, he retrieves a document from a locked safe in the suspect's victim's law office that can never be admitted in court - illegally obtained evidence.
It also cannot be used to obtain other evidence - a violation of the "fruit of the poisonous tree" legal doctrine
In episode 2 she has to be reminded to wear gloves before touching evidence at the crime scene, and in episode 3 she retrieves all the documented evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and making everything she took no longer admissible. Court. HPI Remake (2021).
Cops don't hire someone who is this exhausted
First of all, it's not a clone of "Bones" or other crime shows that deal with the problems of people with marketable skills when it comes to being a police officer. Like most shows, it starts off a little shaky. The girl is good, and her crazy behavior can't really last as long as it did in the first episode.
Unlike lab technicians and other shows that portray them as "off-drug"
Second, the actor who plays Detective Karadek (Daniel Sunjata) is great, and he was very good in "Manifesto". Shows like this are smoother and as the characters take shape, they get better and the flow starts to work. As for Morgan's talent, it's hard to believe that someone with her talent hasn't been snapped up by a tech or financial company, but I think there are people out there who couldn't make it in the regular world despite their talent.
